G'Raj Mahal Cafe & Lounge boasts that it serves real Indian food “Austin style.” Dine on the best, traditional Indian comfort food while being entertained by local Austin music. What started out as a food trailer is now a restaurant, housed in an old house with a large wooden deck at the back. There is comfortable indoor seating and a pretty, stone-paved front yard. The restaurant also features a wine and beer bar. Every dish is made to order and you are asked just how spicy the curry should be, ranging from mild to super-hot. All pork, chicken and beef served in the restaurant is sourced locally and is free-range grass-fed and Halal blessed. The restaurant serves lunch and dinner. Starters include samosas, pakoras and Indian-style buffalo wings. The mains include a variety of curries and there is traditional Indian bread on the side. Vegetarian and Goan specialties are also served.
