The L'Auberge Casino Resort in Lake Charles, Louisiana, is an exceptional choice for a special getaway or a weekend of luxury. With outstanding shops, restaurants and guest room amenities, it will make any occasion seem extraordinary. L'Auberge reopened on May 18, 2020, after a two-month closure and is now following all of the health and safety guidelines set forth by the Louisiana State Department of Health.

Imposing and impressive structure in Lake Charles

With many luxurious guest rooms and suites, world-class restaurants, trendy shops and a huge casino, L'Auberge Casino Resort can easily keep guests entertained for a stay. The large fountain and immaculate landscaping hint at the pampering to come when you enter, and the colorful and lavish floral arrangements inside seal the deal.

Luxurious guest rooms

Each guestroom includes complimentary WiFi, a pillowtop mattress, flatscreen television, lighted makeup mirror, coffee, coffeemaker, bottled water and access to the fitness center. Rooms are quiet and removed from the noise of the bustling casino. Both smoking and non-smoking rooms are available, but no pets are allowed at L'Auberge.

Well-appointed guest bathrooms

Bulgari toiletries, plenty of hot water in the showers, and a supply of thick towels await in the bathrooms full of marble countertops, beautiful floors and tasteful artwork. The bathrooms are spacious with plenty of room to feel refreshed and rejuvenated after a day of work or play.

Upscale shops

Studs, Modele, Sundries and SoMar will be happy to entice you with new fashions for your time at L’Auberge or supply you with snacks or other items you may have forgotten to pack. The shops are great for browsing and offer merchandise that is attractive and modern.

Wide-ranging dining options

All of the restaurants and bars are currently open at L'Auberge with the exception of Le Beaucoup Buffet. Ember Grille and Wine Bar is perhaps the best in terms of fine dining, but Favorites Southern Kitchen, Modern Pantry, Asia, Club 38 and Touloulou’s also have plenty of great dishes. My favorite at L'Auberge is Jack Daniel’s Bar and Grill. The dishes produced by Chef Lyle Broussard and his staff are exceptional in every way, and his long standing knowledge of Louisiana cuisine shines through every bite.

Other amenities

Many people come to L'Auberge to have fun in the casino. Everything with the exception of the poker room is back open in the casino but with a reduced capacity. Guests will have their temperature checked upon entering and are required to wear a mask. The large pool and lazy river are popular with families who visit, and the Contraband Bayou Golf Club has a tee time schedule running from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.

Many attractions in Lake Charles

Guests may choose to park once and spend their entire time at L'Auberge, and with all it has to offer, that is perfectly understandable. If, however, you want to check out more of Lake Charles, a number of great attractions are nearby. The Creole Nature Trail, Mardi Gras Museum or Prien Lake Park are just a few. When things are able to return to normal, Louisiana is known for its great festivals, and Lake Charles has some outstanding ones that you’ll want to enjoy.

Another thing to note is that L'Auberge closed August 26th to prepare for the arrival of Hurricane Laura. Thankfully, the structure received only minor damage and has reopened on a limited basis. Many of the rooms are being used by first responders and other workers trying to restore power and begin the clean-up and rebuilding process in Lake Charles. Very soon, the owners and managers hope to be operating at full capacity once again.
