Louisiana is known as one of America’s most soulful states, filled with delicious food, incredible music, and passionate, party-loving people. Visitors flock to this unique state to partake in the rich culture and festivities, foremost being Mardi Gras. City streets get busy with revelers as dancers and parade floats make their way around town. Those who prefer a more adventurous setting can explore the bayous and swamps of Kisatchie National Forest and Jean Lafitte Historical National Park. Whether you’re in the state to check out the food, the parties, or the adventures, you can have an easier time getting around by using an RV. To make sure you’ve got an awesome place to live, check out this list of the top luxury RV resorts in Louisiana, USA.

Popular traditional culinary options of New Orleans

  • Gumbo: This delicious thick soup, usually served over rice, claims both West African and French roots and features a variety of ingredients. Head to Mr. B’s Bistro for a delicious bowl of Gumbo Ya-Ya. The restaurant’s definitely got a place in my itinerary for New Orleans.

  • Jambalaya: Jambalaya has an interesting history, and the dish is said to have evolved from how Spanish settlers tried to recreate native paella. It consists of chicken, seafood, or sausage mixed with rice and specific vegetables. Make your way to Toups Meatery for a great plate of jambalaya.

We handpicked these listings carefully, considering (wherever possible) recent guest reviews, location, accommodation type, prices, availability of dates, decor, and access to luxury services and amenities. The image galleries get refreshed with the latest updates regularly. They were last updated on {{date}}.

The growing popularity of RV travel in Louisiana

Louisiana is a great state to explore on a road trip, so an RV getaway here is sure to provide fantastic memories. Cities such as New Orleans and Baton Rouge are popular spots for RV trips, but if you want something a bit more tranquil, you won’t go wrong with a trip to Kisatchie National Forest.

Industry reports suggest that the state still goes strong on RVs, with fifth-wheel travel trailer purchases seeing a 1.4% increase.
