Set along the southern Rocky Mountains in the Southwestern United States, New Mexico is a historic state full of exciting things to do. Affectionately known as The Land of Enchantment, the state entices you with its enchanting beauty. It’s also one of the states where Wild West culture is still present. New Mexico is a hot spot for outdoor activities such as skiing, hiking, sightseeing, guided strolls, and hot air balloon rides. Carlsbad Caverns National Park in the Chihuahuan Desert is one of the best places to visit for adventure-seekers. History buffs should make time to visit Petroglyph National Monument in Albuquerque to study volcanic rock art by Native American and Spanish settlers. Finding a convenient home base is crucial to explore attractions around the state with ease. Scroll down for our list of the best luxury RV resorts in New Mexico, USA.

Events to look forward to in New Mexico:

  • Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta - Head to Albuquerque in October to visit what I think will be a memorable event. It’s both the world’s biggest balloon event and the country’s largest annual international event. Dozens of balloons with different sizes, shapes, and colors fly over the crowd, creating a picturesque view.

  • International Folk Art Market - Travelers are sure to have a more colorful trip to Sante Fe when they come in July, as they can attend this market. The annual occurrence features over 100 artists from all over the world who tell stories about their culture through their art.

We handpicked these listings carefully, considering (wherever possible) recent guest reviews, location, accommodation type, prices, availability of dates, decor, and access to luxury services and amenities. Nestled in a quiet, peaceful area, American RV Resorts is one of the most popular spots for family camping and outdoor adventure in Albuquerque. It is dog-friendly and offers guests free daily breakfast. Take advantage of the free on-site parking and free Wi-Fi. There are modern bathhouses, a laundromat, and a clubhouse for rent.

What guests are saying about their RV resort experience:

“We stayed at American RV Resort for 11 nights. The park is a 5 star, but I docked one star for the pool and other amenities being closed. They don’t tell you straight out on the website that the pool is closed. We asked when we called and they told us. Most of the sites are concrete pads with asphalt at front and back. We were in a motorhome and fit fine. We did have to park our car at an angle. The utilities all worked well. Great water pressure. Cable worked pretty well. Local channels are more HD on the antenna. Electric runs at 115 volts on 50amp on both legs. A little low but well within safe. The park is well maintained. Trees are trimmed, bushes manicured and there are lots of rabbits running through the park. The park is in a great location. We were able to get into Albuquerque easily and visited Old Downtown. There are 2 Walmart’s within 10 to 20 minute drives. We will definitely stay here again.” - by Google reviewer, Bill Cooper
