Maharashtra Darbar

This is one of the oldest and most popular biryani joints in the city. The original restaurant is located in Satpur, but the Gangapur Road location might be more convenient for most visitors to the city. While I have never had the biryani at the restaurant, we have ordered large batches to go several times to take to our farm. They also serve delicious tandoori chicken, which goes perfectly well with drinks.

Their dishes are a little on the spicier side, so you might want to request them to adjust the spice level if you prefer your dishes to be a little bit milder.
