Spacious luxury suites

All of the 173 rooms, including the suites, in Novotel Bali Nusa Dua Hotel are modern, spacious, and clean. Each suite has a large private bathroom, a separate living room, kitchen, and dining room. There is a balcony overlooking the swimming pool, which is well-furnished with a sofa, coffee table, and some chairs. At an affordable rate from 2,130,000 IDR (~161 USD) per night, the resort allows a maximum of 2 kids under 16 years old to stay in your room for free.

The living room has a sofa bed, which is large enough for an adult to sleep on and, like in the bedroom, you can also watch TV in this room as it is equipped with a 32-inch LED TV with many international channels!

On the center of the property is the 1,500-sqm (16,145.87 square feet) lagoon-style, winding swimming pool. While swimming in tropical Bali during the day will certainly give you a tan, well, you can escape from the unrelenting sun if you swim in the hotel’s large swimming pool. It is located in a large garden with big tropical trees such as plumeria and palm trees, making many parts of the pool well shaded. Don’t forget to slather on some sun-block though.

The pool has the depth of 1 meter to 1.75 meters (3.28 to 5.74 feet), making it perfect for professional swimmers and safe for beginners. Amazingly, in the water you can also play volleyball with the ball and net provided by the hotel, and order some lighter meals like burgers and fries, as well as cocktails at the bar next to the pool named Blue Bar.

Novotel Bali Nusa Dua Hotel is not situated right on the beach, but it has its own private beach, which is located at Mengiat Beach, about 500 meters away from the hotel. To get there you can either walk or take their shuttle service that departs several times a day.

Good news for beach lovers! Although you can’t swim in the water due to its strong waves (you or your kids can still play in the water, but can’t go far from the shore) it is one of the cleanest beaches you can find in Bali. Adults and kids can spend time together making sand castles or playing volleyball (the ball and net are provided). There are several sun loungers with umbrellas for you to chill out.

Getting hungry while on the beach? No worries! If you don’t go for a breakfast buffet in the hotel’s restaurant, The Square, and would prefer to have a lighter meal, other than having some bread and pastries at Pause Cafe, you too can order food (their well-marinated chicken fajitas with crispy tortillas is simply the best!), beer and cocktails from the beach’s cafe named 2.28 Beach Club.

If the beach seems tranquil during the day, it’s a different story at dusk. They have live music performances every night accompanied with what they call ‘theme dinner,’ where for 7 nights of the week, there will be different types of dinner. For example, BBQ on Monday, Thursday, and Saturday, Balinese cuisine on Wednesday, Asian food for Tuesday and Friday, and Italian for Sunday!

I know you have some dinner preferences, but since you are in Bali, why not go for Wednesday’s Balinese dinner (themed as Bali Cultural Night) and taste some local food that is rich in spices, such as the famous Bali barbecued pig called ‘suckling pig’ and the savory mixed veggie salad with grated coconut and minced meat named ’lawar.’

Many activities for kids and you

Novotel Bali Nusa Dua Hotel has excellent staff, who provide remarkable service from the time you are picked up at the airport (they provide airport pick up service) till your checkout time. You are welcomed with cold fruit juices and they always greet you with smiles every time you happen to meet a member of the staff. Housekeeping is completed very efficiently and more importantly, the staff are great with kids!

Bringing kids to Nusa Dua? No fret, as this is the place where they will be kept busy with fun kid’s activities at its Kids Club throughout the day, including cooking with the chefs, learning to play the Balinese musical instrument called ‘gamelan’ (simply hit the right piece of metal for the tune), as well as practicing the graceful Balinese dance, and playing ball games in the children’s pool.

If you bring a baby, do not hesitate to ask for a cot to be delivered to your room. There are enough personnel to monitor the kids, especially when they play in the pool. Incredibly, you can also request for a nanny for your child!
