Why is Walton’s Lakefront Resort one of the top 300 RV Resorts in North America by Trailer Life Magazine? It’s a pet-friendly resort and a family hangout from spring to early fall. Aside from equipped camper sites, there are stores, restaurants, and championship fairways in the vicinity.

The landscaped grounds have spacious pitches and electric hook-ups. Facilities include a swimming pool, a clubhouse, a fitness center, and a convenience store.

Additionally, you can use the shower, washroom, and laundromat. Park your RV and walk to the beach after enjoying a picnic. If you want to go hiking, nature trails are just outside of town.

2. sw̓iw̓s Provincial Park (Haynes Point)

sw̓iw̓s Provincial Park (Haynes Point) is run by the Osoyoos Indian Band. The land jutting out of Osoyoos Lake was occupied by Okanagan ancestors for thousands of years. Now, the area is a haven for fishing, swimming, waterskiing, canoeing, cycling, and hiking. You can accompany the children to wildlife viewing on a platform, on the marsh trail.

The 38-ha (94-ac) public park has 1 concrete boat ramp and 41 large gravel campsites, 7 of which are doubles sites, accessible to larger RVs. Each site has a fire ring and a picnic table, separated from others by pines, cottonwood, or strips of beach. Pets on a leash are allowed on the pebbly pet beach but not in most areas of the park.

The all-season Island View RV Resort is less than five minutes away from Downtown Osoyoos. It’s an RV park with a private beach and a dock right across the site. Mild weather in this part of the Okanagan Valley lets you enjoy the great outdoors even in winter.

Hedges separate the spacious sites, and kids can spend a pleasant day in the playground. The site also has a convenience store with coffee and ice cream, a gift shop, and a boutique. Coin showers, washrooms, and a laundromat are at the service of guests.

You can rent kayaks, buoys, paddle boards, and cable boxes for fun adventures on the lake.

SunTerra Campground is a campground, an RV Park, and a snack bar on the lakeside that also caters to boats and trailers. It welcomes legal pets of various species for as long as they are looked after.

You can avail of full service (power, water, sewer) and partial service (power and water) sites year round. You will have access to a pool, restrooms, showers, and one parking space. With Wi-Fi also provided at Sunterra Campground and Hotel in Osoyoos, you can easily upload your photos for your family and friends to see. You can rent “The Nest,” a furnished vacation home good for families or groups of four to six guests.

Cabana Beach Campground is a family-run complex with tent sites, RV sites, camping cabins, and bedroom cabanas. From May to September, it welcomes tent trailers, camper vans, small and medium-sized motorhomes, and RV trailers up to 28 ft (8.5 m) long. It gives you the experience of the best camping in Osoyoos.

The largest beach on Lakeside Drive is only 60 seconds away. The hookups accommodate a maximum of 30 ft (9 m). Tent sites have an electric supply, a kitchen cabana with an optional fridge rental. A unique feature is the three-sided kitchen cabana with electric lights and outlets, running water, a sink, and a picnic table.

Nk'mip RV Park is a world-class destination with RV sites, cabins, tents, and water fun for adults and kids. This year-round site is the very first RV spot in Okanagan. Perks include an indoor pool and a hot tub available from October to May, a private marina and a dock, and water sport rentals.
