If you find yourself in Lappeenranta and wonder where to have a good meal, Wolkoff Restaurant & Wine Bar is one of the best options available. It is especially a good choice for lunch, as their lunch menu is definitely good value for money. Although the individual meals are a bit small and pricey, choosing their fixed menu will save a bit of money, while giving a nice mix of dishes. If you travel to Porvoo on a Sunday, do try their Sunday brunch options. Most of the food on their menu is local and they offer a wide selection of burgers.

Santa’s Salmon Place is a small restaurant, located in the very touristic Santa Claus Village. They offer salmon fillets, grilled on a big stove inside the restaurant. It is an interesting experience, as you can smell the grilling fish, all around. They also offer coffee and cakes, and usually, customers choose to have that, while waiting for their fish to be ready.
