2. Atmana Juiceria

This plant based health restaurant focuses on juices, buddha bowls and even gluten free cuisine. All based within a yoga studio so you can get every inch of your health fix without even leaving the premises - the rainbow foods and laid back atmosphere of Atmana Juiceria will keep you coming back for more, especially when the Panamanian days get too hot to handle.

This vegetarian eatery is infamous within Panama City, not only for the most amazing Chinese food within a cafeteria style dining room, but because it’s so cheap. The prices, however, don’t reflect the quality, there’s absolutely everything that you could want on the menu - noodles, tofu, vegetable dishes - hamburgers, hotdogs and pizzas; for those seeking food from home - all vegetarian, of course.

4. Hip Cusine

Hip Cuisine’s motto is “Eat to Live” and whilst I don’t technically agree with this, since I’m more an “eat to live” kind of person, one cannot turn their head away from the healthy, happy philosophy of Hip Cuisine.
While Hip Cuisine is not technically vegetarian they do cater for everyone, from gluten free meat eaters to the most hardy of vegetarians. I’d suggest to go for the vegan ceviche, delicious vegetables marinated in the traditional citrus juice - followed then by stuffed plantains with vegetables. Hip Cuisine is the epitome of healthy eating, showcasing that healthy and vegetarian doesn’t need to be boring.

5. Avatar Indian Cuisine
Avatar Indian Cuisine isn’t a fully vegetarian restaurant; what it does however is serve delicious vegetarian food and all in a stunning central location with great interior design - the name Avatar links back to the film with the blue mood lighting. The menu contains enough vegetarian options to keep the hungriest herbivore happy, from samosas to thick, fragrant curries, so much so that even the most hardiest of meat eaters will be reaching over the table to see what you’ve got on your plate.

This large cafeteria style dining room is every vegetarian’s dream serving everything from Panamanian cuisine to Asian vegan food - this includes soy meats plantains, vegetable dishes, soups, sushi, juices and salads, all for a couple of dollars. If you’re looking to save a few dollars after having too many beers the night before then El Jardin Vegetariana is the place that will save you.

9. Dodó Bon Pan Cafe
This is a primarily carnivorous restaurant that serves vegetarian options; but don’t let that fool you, this eatery caters for every dietary requirement from vegan to gluten free. The food here is absolutely delicious; the burgers are top class and served with a side of salad which is bound to knock your socks off with flavor. People come for the food, but stay for the cosy atmosphere and excellent service - this is one to visit for sure.
