Zambezi Cafe is a place with multiple personalities. You can have a good meal here, no matter if it’s lunch or dinner, from a selection of African and European dishes with a rather wide selection of vegetarian dishes by comparison to other places. In the evenings, you can also have a drink or two, while listening to the live bands and hanging out with friends or making new friends.

Part of Royal Livingstone hotel, the Sundeck is the perfect place to enjoy a sunset. It is placed right next to Zambezi, close to Victoria Falls, offering an amazing landscape. You can come here for a drink and wait for the sun to go down. It is the most expensive place in town to have a drink, but the view is breathtaking.

5. Fez Bar and Restaurant

Friday night is party night at Fez Bar. This place is known among locals as the place where international volunteers in Livingstone like to party. It is an open-air nightclub, where parties last long on Friday nights. Expect to see mostly backpackers/other travelers and international volunteers.

6. The Elephant Cafe

Placed in an unique setting, the Elephant Cafe offers a totally different experience than other places in Livingstone. It is located on upper Zambezi, on a wooden deck that can host a total of 24 people. It is the place to socialize with elephants while enjoying your meal. The experience comes together with a speedboat trip that gives the opportunity to see hippos and crocodiles on the river.

7. Da Canton

Offering the best ice-cream in town, Da Canton is a good place to have a pizza while listening to a live band. The owner is very friendly, always walking around the tables making sure that customers are happy. Although mainly an Italian restaurant, you can also find local specialties here should you rather want to try local cuisine. The atmosphere is very relaxing, making Da Canton a wonderful place for an easy evening out.

8. East Point Discotheque

If you’re in a dancing mood, East point is the place to go to. It is also the place where locals like to party. Just down from the main street, it’s located not far from the center of town. The selection of music is usually the latest hits in Southern and Eastern Africa. The atmosphere is vibrant, you’re guaranteed to have a lot of fun. On Fridays and Saturdays, the party goes on until early morning, but East point operates every day. If you go there during week days, you might meet more travellers than locals.
