Go where the Gold Rush started! Idaho Springs, a small town in the Rocky Mountains center and 30 miles (48.28km) to Denver’s west, is where gold was first discovered. By visiting the Underhill Museum and Heritage Visitor Center, you will see the importance and impact of this discovery in the history of Colorado State. Join the Argo Gold Mine tour and you’ll have first-hand experience on how to pan for gold. The beautiful mountain scenery that envelopes the town offers opportunities for exciting outdoor activities like hiking, cycling, white water rafting, fishing, zip lining, hunting, and more. The town, where everything is a walking distance, still exhibits lovely Victorian houses and antiquated buildings reminiscent of their rich historical past. Below is a list of where to stay in Idaho Springs, Colorado, if you pass by Interstate 70 and make a side trip to this historic mining town.

We handpicked these listings carefully, considering (wherever possible) Superhost status, recent guest reviews, location, accommodation type, prices, availability of dates, decor, and amenities. The image galleries get refreshed with the latest updates regularly. They were last updated on October 23, 2024.
