The Pullman St. Pancras Hotel is an oasis in the heart of London. Sitting on the busy Euston Road and only 3-5 minutes from Kings Cross and St. Pancras stations, the Pullman oozes sophistication, style, and class. The Pullman has a modern, minimalistic design theme. It’s airy and spacious. Businessmen are usually talking in the lobby, having a cocktail, or seated in the restaurant. Full disclosure, the Pullman is my favorite hotel. Further, my love and brand loyalty is reinforced each and every time I stay. The customer service is personalized and on point without being overbearing.
Restaurant and Bar
The Pullman has a restaurant and serves breakfast daily. If you do not normally rise for hotel breakfast, you should ensure you get up for this. Chefs cook a traditional hot English breakfast. Additionally, there is a charcuterie board, and a wide selection of fruit, yogurt, and assorted health foods for the light eater. The pastry table has almost every pastry one could think of. If none of those options are for you, you can order off the menu. The dinner selection is also quite nice and usually available without a reservation. The bar staff makes a terrific cocktail and has a diverse wine selection.
Location
The secondary pull to the Pullman, is its location. The Pullman St. Pancras is centrally located near Kings Cross and St. Pancras stations, excellent for anyone coming into or out of Kings Cross or St. Pancras. However, those visiting London may find it an ideal location as well. It is not walking distance from any of the major tourist attractions, but it is more or less in the center of all of them. If you are a traveler who wants to go back to the hotel and put your feet up before heading out for the evening, the Pullman is a good location for you. However, as far as nightlife and restaurants are concerned, you may need to travel outside the direct area.
Modern rooms
The rooms each have a modern design. Sparse artwork decorates the walls. Most rooms have windows facing the busy road, but noise is never a problem. The left side of the building offers stunning views of St. Pancras Station. The rooms are clean and the beds are comfortable. Each room has coffee, tea, a robe, a paid mini bar, a flat screen TV, and a safe. The best part is the monsoon shower. Quite frankly, the showers in the Pullman are reminiscent of living in a spa. Huge shower heads with phenomenal shower pressure. The hot water seemingly never ends. Each time I stay at the Pullman, I am tempted to take four or five showers per day (I don’t)!
All around excellent hotel
The Pullman is a four-star hotel, making it ideal for business travelers, solo travelers, and couples. Families are welcome, but I have rarely seen young children. The ambiance in the hotel is suited to adult clientele.
