Cuyahoga Valley Scenic Railroad provides routes of discovery for visitors. You can either hike/bike one way and hop on the train for a ride back. Come and get a scenic view of wildflowers and butterflies in the summer and come back during the winter for cross-country skiing, snow tubing, snowshoeing, sledging and ice fishing. 2. Whetstone Park of Roses

Created in 1953, Whetstone Park has grown to include more than 400 rose varieties. Some of these flowers date back to the Roman empire while the rest are modern varieties. The park is open every day and visiting is free of charge. Different roses bloom at different times of the year. German Village is a historic neighbourhood located south of downtown Columbus. It was settled by German immigrants in the early 19th century. It has several parks, gardens and landmarks that are a charm. Skillet Park, a recreational site in German Village, comes with a garden and free Shakespeare plays.
