Papiamento is a 126-year-old Aruban house converted into a fine dining restaurant where you can woo your partner with a charming dinner in a heritage setting. The house boasts of antique furniture, gorgeous European artifacts, dating back to the early 1800s, and a romantic tropical garden with pool. 10. Light a candle at the quaint Alto Vista Chapel in Noord

Originally built by Domingo Silvestre in 1750, the present Alto Vista Chapel was rebuilt in 1952. You’ll find a charming church, painting an unusual bright yellow on the outside. The interiors have an altar statue of the Virgin Mary and are enshrined with beautiful crosses including an ancient Spanish one that is said to be among the oldest European art pieces in the Dutch Caribbean. There are stone pews outside, to add to the wooden ones inside the small and peaceful church.
