A self-declared Asian eating and drinking house has become a Melrose hotspot, where fusion and vegetarian dishes are served with a side of the Hollywood Hills. Don’t be fazed by the menu because it’s designed to help you navigate from E.P (the restaurant below) to L.P. (the roof deck above). Start with the ceviche and steak and move on to less familiar and more exciting territory.
If you’re not checking out the decor, your eyes will be feasting on the view. Celebrity sightings are typical in a place like E.P. & L.P, which, despite being just five years old, has already established itself as a luminous West Hollywood destination.

The Roof on Wilshire proposes to make you a non-routine breakfast, with egg dishes you’ve never seen before. For lunch, you can take huge bites of the Wilshire Burger or just settle for a classic fresh salad. Dinner is another matter altogether. The Petite Ermitage invites you to “Get high in the hills”. You only have to show up at this exclusive and ritzy rooftop club and they will take care of the rest. It will be difficult to resist the call of the heated saltwater pool, but if you’re not dressed for a dip, it’s customary to be seated in the “Garden” and listen to the birdsong. And that’s not a metaphor! The Rooftop Club’s bird and butterfly sanctuary is highly regarded by the National Wildlife Federation.
Hotel guests can also enjoy daily free yoga on the roof and Monday evening film screenings with buckets of popcorn. If you’re only booked for dinner, it would be prudent to think ahead to decide whether you’re going to try something with some Egyptian flair or consider the chef’s take on Japanese or Italian standards.
