Catch NYC is one of the most popular and ultra-trendy hangout spots in the city, even celebrities and other famous figures flock to this place since, at times, this restaurant with a rooftop has become a venue for movie premiere afterparties. For meal starters, jumbo shrimp cocktail and cold king crab definitely take the cake. Some of the Catch Classics that you absolutely must sink your teeth into are the A5 Japanese Miyazaki Wagyu, Maine lobster taco, and the spicy chicken bao bun.

Like Bar Hugo, the cocktails at Azul on the Rooftop are lovely yet somewhat different as they focus on a different target group and concept. However, it is important to check if the bar before making your way down here as it is opened only opened during certain times of the year.

Situated within Hotel 50 Bowery NYC, The Crown may not be the highest rooftop bar, but it is definitely one of the best bars in New York. People who have patronized The Crown says it provides guests an unobstructed view of both the Manhattan and Brooklyn skylines. This is rare as New York is home to over 6,000 high-rise buildings. The design of The Crown also draws in crowds. It has adopted a Scandinavian concept and just the looks of it will make you feel zen amidst the hustle and bustle of New York City.

Depending on the time you go, you will be treated to an entirely different experience. Going to The Crown at noon will soothe your nerves and allow you to soak in the views. Whereas in the night, the bar becomes vibrant and trendier. The only thing to take note of when going to the bar is ensuring you are well-dressed. Located in The James (SoHo), Jimmy has been rated as one of the trendiest rooftop bars by locals in New York. It has been dubbed as a premium establishment and they mainly serve the locals. The best part about this rooftop bar is their own pool. Do bring a costume along with you if you intend to enjoy one of their cocktails while frolicking in the pool. Be sure to drop by between May to September if you want to use the pool as the weather in the subsequent months is chilly. The crowd usually starts swarming in at 10pm and if you continue to stay, you will be able to catch the top DJs creating astounding performances. As of writing, Jimmy is temporarily closed but it will re-open in mid-April.

You will never feel claustrophobic inside as their outdoor and indoor area has a combined space of 3,000 square feet (278 square meters). It is one of those bars that open up their outdoor area during the winter season. As such, the view will be worth the cold. While on the 15th floor of Hotel Indigo, you get to witness snowflakes falling down, Christmas lights flickering, and the feeling of being on top of the world. To top it all off, there are two terraces at Mr. Purple. One of them is meant for smaller parties and has a calmer ambiance. The other is more spacious and comes with a rooftop pool too.
