Seattle is sometimes affectionately called Queen City or Emerald City as a result of a competition years ago. It has a rich performing arts history - in fact, their award-winning Seattle Symphony Orchestra is more than 100 years old. It is also home to Seattle International Film Festival, one of the top film festivals on the continent. While you’re walking around the city, you might end up craving Spanish cuisine. You wouldn’t be alone! Spanish food is one of the most popular cuisines in the world. What is unique about it is that each region has its own signature dish or dishes. This is because travelling between districts was once difficult due to the mountainous terrain. For example, Andalusia uses a lot of olive oil, and a popular dish there is gazpacho, a cold soup with vegetables topped with other condiments. Valencia brought paella, rice that’s cooked in a circular pan with vegetables and meat. Fortunately, these cuisines can easily be eaten in Seattle. Here is a list of the best Spanish restaurants in Seattle, Washington!
1. Pintxo
The unique thing about Pintxo is that it has a kitchen that’s smaller than most gas trucks - it doesn’t even have a gas grill! That doesn’t stop it from making great dishes and from holding cooking classes every now and then. Their tortilla Espanola, fried padrons, and paella are popular. It takes approximately 45 minutes to make but is considered well worth it. Their drinks menu consists of both local and Spanish drinks, and they also have a great happy hour menu complete with patatas bravas, pan con tomate, and lamb sliders.
