2. Punta del Hidalgo, San Cristóbal de La Laguna

This beautiful surf site sits just outside the charming fishing village of Igueste de San Andrés, not far from Santa Cruz, the capital of the islands. The spot is ideal for all skill levels with its sections and left-hand waves. Although Tenerife is perfect for surfing all year round, the Igueste de San Andrés is best enjoyed from September to May. To have the best experience, avoid surfing at low tide and hit this location early to savor less crowded waves.

If you are an experienced surfer, La Izquierda has the best waves that Canary Islands has to offer. The waves are strong and fast-breaking over the rock bed and corals that abound the spot. The break is bare and constant, especially between autumn and spring. You will enjoy every moment you spend at this left-hand surf site that works great during low and high tides, but is best during north-west and west swells. People are friendly, but good behavior is advised in Tenerife surf areas.

7. La Caleta, Cádiz
La Caleta is a rustic village situated on the southwest coast of the Tenerife. This location might be humble, but its waves are an exception. The area is a beautiful getaway for tourists, and the surf site, which offers waves stretching 1640.42 feet (500 meters), is a common meeting point for surfing enthusiasts. You can enjoy surfing at all times, and the waves are both right and left-hand, although the ones from the right are powerful and often rumble down the reef. The base is made of rocky reef and flat rocks.

The excellent waves make the Alcalá usually crowded. However, when surfing, you should watch out for the rocks.
