Hurricane season usually affects the city come September to October, which provides extreme tides for surfing only for experts. Its best swell direction is northeast, the best wind direction is northwest, and the best tides are the rising or incoming tides. Surfers would have to paddle about 200 meters (656 feet) to get to the take-off point. With the extreme surfing conditions at Spoils, you can expect that not many people frequent the area.

3. Haulover Beach
Can you surf in Miami? Absolutely, you can! Haulover Beach is located at Haulover Park in Miami Beach. The beach itself is one of the best in the city, and it is flanked by the Atlantic Ocean and Biscayne Bay. You can surf during low tide, with ideal winds coming from the west. You still have to be careful here because the tide is often inconsistent and doesn’t follow the seasonal pattern. While surfing, you will also catch beautiful views of Haulover Beach Park.

I traveled extensively throughout the country and that's how I first became acquainted with South Florida. I instantly fell in love with this beautiful place and eventually moved to the Miami Beach area. I love South Florida and want my tourists to feel the same way.
