Tip from Content Creator
I never really expected to visit Fiji; it’s one of those places you dream about spending your honeymoon in! Luckily, the flights from Australia weren’t too expensive, and it was only a four-hour flight away. I spent my 25th birthday on an island and made a bunch of new friends who were buying me drinks the whole night, so life couldn’t get better than that! Here are the highlights of our trip to Fiji:
- Visiting a Fijian village and go chasing waterfalls (book on Viator)
- Eating like locals at Tu’s Place; kokoda is a Fijian favourite
- Visiting the Mamanuca islands - Castaway Island is where the movie Castaways was filmed, while Beachcomber Island is more popular with young people and has more of a lively feel
- Finding the bluest water and the whitest sand, head to Blue Lagoon (a four-hour ferry ride from Nadi)
- Eating a traditional ‘lovo’, which is the Fijian way of cooking
- Going scuba diving at the Great White Wall
