Amusement parks are aplenty in Ohio, namely traditional parks with roller coasters and merry-go-rounds, water parks with wavy slides, kiddie parks for the younger ones, scary themed parks, and historical parks. You can choose to stock up your itinerary with a mix of everything or spend a few days trying out all the rides at a single park. Whatever it is, the objective is to have nothing but a fun-filled time with your family and friends. Instead of visiting an amusement park, why not revisit the history behind one of Cleveland’s most iconic amusement parks? Riots, financial problems, and controversies are part of the saga that rendered the permanent closure of Euclid Beach Park on September 28, 1969. You can still visit the site, which is now a beach-park mainly used for leisure activities and a stroll down memory lane. The restored Euclid Beach carousel is open at the Cleveland Historic Center - you can give that a try as well.
