This place is quite strange if you have not been here. From the outside, it looks like a traditional restaurant but once you are inside you will be surprised to see a mini zoo.

3. Kbal Chhay Waterfall

Time to see the nature of Sihanoukville. There is one magnificent waterfall in the city and you must visit it. Did you know that this waterfall used to be the hiding place for the Khmer Rouge? Kbal Chhay Waterfall is located about 7 kilometers (4.34 miles) from the coastal city. It is one of the main sources of clean water for Sihanoukville.

4. Ream National Park

If you need to relax and take a break from work and hectic city life, Ream National Park is the place for you to do so. Spend a full day or half day at this national park. You will get to see the river and wildlife and enjoy the wonders of nature. The national park is located about 17.7 kilometers (11 miles) from Sihanoukville. It is a totally different national park and unique in its own way.

5. Golden Lion

Phsar Leu is the main market in the city and is popular with the locals. You can get almost everything here. From clothing and souvenirs to food and handicrafts, this market is the best place for tourists to hunt for bargain items and food.

7. Wat Leu Temple

Wat Leu Temple is another major attraction you must visit in Sihanoukville. The temple is located on a hill about 6 kilometers (3.72 miles) from the city. You will be amazed by its panoramic view if you are on the hilltop.

You can see the whole city as well as nearby islands while you are here. Look at the picture above, the temple is so colorful and unique. From the outside, its architecture is truly amazing and once you enter the temple, you get to see the magnificent altar as well as beautiful murals.

8. Visit the nearby islands of Koh Rong and Samloem by speed ferry

Another exciting thing to do while on vacation in the city is to visit both Samloem and Koh Rong nearby. Of course, you can’t travel to the destination on foot. You need to book your tickets and board the speed ferry to the islands. The journey will take about 45 minutes. So, get ready to explore the other side of Sihanoukville.
