Editor's Note: There's no photo available at the time of writing
Bask in the spectacular view of the crystal-clear turquoise water of the Atlantic Ocean while walking on the sugary sands of Fortune Beach. It was a shipwreck worth millions of dollars discovered here that gave it its name. You can experience true peace and tranquillity as it’s a secluded spot, and sparsely visited making it a paradisiacal sanctuary.
Unlike other beaches on Grand Bahama Island, the water here is shallower for a longer distance, allowing you to stroll relatively far into the ocean without needing to swim. Snorkelling and windsurfing are both safe activities here, so you can have a memorable time. Stop by the delightful beachfront restaurant on the eastern edge after you’ve had fun on the beach for a delicious meal. You can also grab a drink at the beach bar located on the western side.
