The Harrisonville Courthouse Square Historic District is made up of four full blocks of buildings brimming with commercial activities in the square and an additional five city blocks just off the square. This district boasts of being home to the Cass County Courthouse and has a long, rich history. Constructed between the late 18th century and the early 19th century, this district was for a very long time used as the governmental center of the area. It still retains most of its original ancient fantastic architecture and is registered on the National Register of Historic Places.
