Aldridge Gardens is a beautiful botanical garden that focuses mainly on growing hydrangeas. This area is where you should visit to learn why a hydrangea is the trademark flower of the city. Initially owned by Eddie Aldridge and his wife, the patch was established in 2002, and was later donated to the town. Aldridge Gardens sits on over 30 acres (12 hectares) and is home to an amazingly wide variety of hydrangeas. Interestingly, new breeds of this flowering plant have even been discovered here.
