Though a relatively small museum, Museum of Anthropology has grown much since its humble beginnings in 1963. Gordon Keller, an archeologist and professor, started the first displays on his own in a basement hallway from relics found in the Great Basin. Since then, the collections have been expanded to include exhibits that have been digitized and updated. Some of these exhibitions include Textiles of Java, Chinese Road Camps, Death on the Nile and Ancient Peruvian Cultures. The museum hopes to create new exhibitions each year and to promote the understanding of different cultures to its visitors.

7. Soothe your soul at LDS Tabernacle

LDS Tabernacle is also known as the Mormon Tabernacle and is a behemoth spectacle located in Salt Lake City, Utah. The tabernacle was built in 1875 and is used to house large crowds for general conferences and meetings. The architecture of the tabernacle is likened to an architectural masterpiece though some had criticized its construction and stated that it resembles a “soup kettle”.
