This a local brewery, relatively small in size, but with a reputation of producing great tasting brews. They have a small but pretty tasting room where you will meet the super nice staff eager to tell you more about their beers so that you have a great sampling experience. Unlike most breweries, you will be allowed to sample any beer before you buy, and you are also free to just have a taste of all the five beers.

The Scovill Loop Trails are dedicated to hiking only. The trail features the Northern Loop – about 1 mile (2.6km) long, and the Southern Loop – about 0.6miles (1km). The trails have gentle terrain, and they are heavily wooded, helping create the right atmosphere to help you get the most out of your hiking. Some sections of the Southern Loop feature sections of an old foundation and mill site, with very nice views of the Connecticut River. The Northern Loop, on the other hand, snakes through Moellers Pond as it makes its way down to a beach along the banks of the Connecticut River.

Butternut Hollow Park boasts nearly 6 acres (2.43ha) of scenic grounds with water features and lots of playgrounds. The playgrounds were recently renovated and now feature a kids’ play section with swings, slides, ladders and a horde of other toys. The grounds are large, well-maintained and nestled among tall, mature trees that provide adequate cover for the hot summer suns. Then there are also picnic areas and park benches to complete the set up necessary for an enjoyable family picnic.
