Palanga Amber Museum, located in the center of Birute Park, is housed in what used to be the mansion of Count Feliksas Tiškevičius. The museum houses thousands of amber pieces and artworks. You can find amber pieces with leaves and insects in them or jewelry and accessories. Visitors can also learn about trade routes and the process that goes into extracting these beautiful objects. Pier of Palanga spans about 470 meters (1,542 feet) and extends from the coast. This spacious pier offers the best views of the sea and sand dunes. Founded in 1982, this open-air museum showcases sculptures made by various renowned Lithuanian sculptors, such as Kazimieras Kisielis, Albertas Donatas Belevičius, and Vytautas Kazimieras Jonynas, as well as a few international artists. The installations seen here are from the collection of the Lithuania Art Museum. As these works are displayed in the open, it is free to visit and view them anytime.

5. Palanga Botanical Garden

The construction of this garden started in 1897 and was supervised by Eduard Fransua André, a renowned French landscape architect and botanist.

6. A. Moncy House-Museum

A. Moncy House-Museum should be on your list of must-visit places in Palanga. Antanas Mončys is a well-known Lithuanian sculptor who also had a background in architecture. A number of his works were showcased in other countries. Upon Mončys’ death, his works were kept in a museum built under his honor.

Aside from his works, which consist of sculptures and drawings, visitors can check out the sculptor’s personal belongings, such as his tools and a few sheets from his diary.

7. Birutė Hill

Take a trip back in time while strolling around Birutė Hill, which is located around 21 meters (68.9 feet) above sea level and is surrounded by a pine forest. Due to its position, it offers wonderful views of the sea. Birutė Hill was named after Birutė, the second wife of the Grand Duke of Lithuania, Kęstutis. It is said that she was buried at the base of the hill.

According to archaeological research, there used to be a village at its foothills. Then, a shrine dedicated to Birutė and an observatory were built there. Today, you can find a chapel on top of the hill and a grotto at its base.
