A picture of the even is immortalized on a granite cliff in Treaty Rock Park. Treaty Rock Park is probably one of the most picturesque places in Post Falls. Get back to nature a little bit with a day at this beautiful and historic park. Grab some food and have a picnic or put on your hiking boots and go for a walk along the trails. Treaty Rock Park is also important for the history of Post Falls as its founder, Frederick Post, signed an agreement with Chief Seltice of the Coeur d'Alene Tribe for 200 acres (80.9 hectares) of land to build a lumber mill. In return, Post would provide them processed lumber. The agreement was painted on a rock, and that’s where the park gets its name. It is also likely the only place in America where a treaty was painted onto a rock. The park is a four-minute drive from Subway on West Seltice Way.
