Never miss the fun when in the city and visit Putrajaya Challenge Park, which is a 30-hectare (74.13-acre) property and features some of the finest extreme park facilities on the continent. The 20-metre (65.62-foot) tall trapezoidal walls inside the enormous indoor rock climbing facility are a massive attraction. Guests of all skill levels can enjoy playing wall climbing in the facility’s six distinct areas. There’s even a mini-playground for the kids to enjoy.
Instructors and protective equipment are on hand to ensure everyone has a good time in a safe condition. The skatepark is a great way to beat the heat while having fun. Take in the fresh air and scenery while riding your bike on the MTB trails.

3. Visit the Prime Minister's home at Seri Perdana

Seri Perdana Complex is similar to the White House of the USA. The Prime Minister of Malaysia resides here, and it is the place used to welcome heads of states, heads of governments, and state dignitaries. The impressive building consisting of three wings displays Malay, Islamic, and European architectural styles. Protocol Block and Banquet Block are open for the public to visit. Don’t forget to snap a few pictures of the magnificently large pillars, the banquet room, and the grand split staircase when you are inside.
To enter, you’ll have to book a 90-minute tour one week before your planned visit. Visitors are also required to adhere to the smart-casual dress code.

4. Visit the prayer chambers of Putra Mosque

Putra Mosque, the premier mosque in Putrajaya, is sometimes known as the pink mosque because of its rose-tinted granite and pink dome. Completed in 1999, it is named after the first Prime Minister of Malaysia, Tunku Abdul Rahman Putra Al-Haj. You’ll look on in awe at the architecture within that takes after Malay, indigenous, and Middle Eastern cultures, particularly the King Hassan Mosque in Casablanca, Morocco.
The mosque can fit up to 15,000 worshippers in the prayer hall at any one time. You do not need to be a Muslim to visit, but if you are not dressed according to the dress code, you’ll have to don a robe and headscarf available at the entrance before you can set foot in.

5. Delight in blooming flowers at Putrajaya Botanical Garden

Putrajaya is built with Mother Nature in mind, so nature enthusiasts will love exploring Putrajaya Botanical Gardens. Formerly an agricultural land, trees and shrubs have been introduced into the garden with the help of immaculate landscaping. There are more than 700 species of flora altogether.

Putrajaya Wetlands Park is a man-made wetland that covers an extensive area amounting to 335 hectares (827.8 acres). Originally made to trap sediment and water from Putrajaya Lake, it has transformed into an area teeming with wildlife. There is a lake with mini islands, a bicycle path, a bamboo forest, and a flamingo pond in the vicinity. You can choose to rent a canoe or a bicycle and go on an adventure.
If you are a birder, you’ll be thrilled to know that there are nearly 100 species of birds spotted here, including the painted storks, buffy fish owl, and purple herons. Get pumped because you’ll want to be recruited into District 21, a one-of-a-kind apocalyptic theme park. Set in a 1.6 acres (0.65 hectare) air-conditioned atrium, activities ranging from easy to difficult can be enjoyed by everyone in the family.
Begin at the aptly named Launchpad, a trampoline arena to warm up your muscles. Younger children can enjoy themselves on the Carousel or Tubby Ride. Then, you can head on to Maze, an elevated labyrinth of tunnels and puzzles. You can also try the Free Fall challenge to test your fear of heights. The ultimate test is the Sky Trail, where participants are supposed to cross hurdles while suspended on air. With 10 obstacles scattered through the district, you are assured a super fun time! Do note that there are height and weight requirements on some of the activities.

Don’t miss the sight of Seri Wawasan Bridge when visiting Putrajaya. Translated as The Vision Bridge, the futuristic asymmetric cable-stayed bridge with a forward-inclined pylon is beautiful by day and by night. It links the core island known as Precinct 2, where the leading government offices are, to residential areas at Precinct 8 and 9. The fan-shaped marvel is two-way with three lanes for vehicles, cyclists, and pedestrians.
When photographing the bridge during the day, be sure to position your shot to include the Putra Mosque and Seri Perdana. By night, the light display casts magic on the bridge. For the best view, consider having a meal at the row of cafes and restaurants located nearby, and you’ll be blessed with a view during your meal.
