Ben Gurion’s Tomb National Park is located 3 kilometers (1.86 mi) south of the Sde Boker kibbutz. Here, Ben Gurion was buried side by side with his wife, Paula, in the center of the park. 2. Avdat

Another place to go when visiting Sde Boker is Avdat. Avdat is an amazing place that is full of history. Also known as Abdah, Ovdat, and Obodat, this place is a part of ruined Nabatean. Today, Avdat is acknowledged as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO and is well preserved. One of the interesting things that happened here is that it was used as a filming location for Jesus Christ Superstar. This place is incredibly interesting and you can enjoy spectacular views from the top of the hill. You also can enjoy the history of the temple of Oboda. The temple was built for the worshipping of the Nabataean king Obodas II and was used as an eternal resting place. This temple is near two other temples, a Christian chapel, and a western temple.

4. Ben-Gurion's Hut

Ben-Gurion’s Hut is the retirement home of Israeli Prime Minister David Ben-Gurion and his wife. They lived here from 1953 until Ben-Gurion’s death in 1973 and now this house has been preserved as a museum. In the museum, you can enjoy lots activities such as watching a documentary on Ben Gurion’s life, crosswords and riddles, matching games using ropes, and planning the development of Negev on sand tables and embossed maps. The museum is divided into three parts. The first part of the exhibition is the biographic wall that illustrates Ben-Gurion life. The second part illustrates the life of Ben-Gurion, how he developed Negev, and his contribution to the economy. The last part of the museum shows his achievements. Throughout the exhibition there is a display of Ben-Gurion’s documents, letters, and personal belongings, as well as video and computer station for visitors to learn more deeply about him.

5. Ein Akev oasis

Enjoy a wonderful views at Ein Akev. Here you will find an amazingly clear oasis under a small waterfall. It’s a nice place to swim and is refreshing after a long day exploring Zin Valley. The oasis is very deep even in summertime and this place is a source of drinking water for the birds, and other animals as well as a place for animals to bathe. To get there, it requires a 2 hour hike from Ben-Gurion College, or you can reach the oasis in a 4x4 vehicle.

Located in the heart of the Negev Desert, Ein Avdat National Park will offer you a spectacular view from the top of the hill.
