Hadera is a city located in the Haifa District of Israel, in the northern Sharon region It was established in 1891 as a farming colony by members of the Zionist group, Hovevei Zion, from Lithuania and Latvia. 1. HaSharon Park

HaSharon Park is an Israeli National Park, located alongside Highway 4 with its entrance going through Hadera West Railway Station. The park consists of a large forest, full of carob and Mount Tabor oak trees. It is bordered by the Alexander Stream National Park. On weekends and holidays, when the weather is nice, it is definitely a wonderful spot to spend a few hours with small kids and there are usually pony rides.

Technoda Technological Education and Science Center is great for everyone! It is the most advanced science school and planetarium in Hadera and the surrounding areas. They offer interesting, engaging, and entertaining activities for kids and the whole family, that you’ll truly love and enjoy. Aside from this, the stations are manned with very helpful young people. This is a highly recommended place, by many!

8. Tel Gedor Reserve


Tel Gedor reserve boasts rolling sand dunes, coastal cliffs and pristine beaches. With cliffs that reach a height of 33 meters (108 feet) above sea level, this is one of the most beautiful places to visit in Hadera, where you can immerse yourself in nature and see some of the rich marine life of the area.

Beware that the edge of the cliff is not stable and you should not stand on it as it can collapse. However, this is a beautiful place to visit during hot weather and a great place to cool down in the ocean.

9. Shvil Hatapuzim



Shvil Hatapuzim is a park, perfect for everyone. There are benches to sit on and a small cafeteria where you can get some snacks. There are lots of activities for children here, such as waterslides, wall climbing, go karts, a rain room and so much more. There is also a maze and orange groves where the kids will surely love picking oranges directly from the trees. For a small fee of 15 ILS (4.26 USD), you can take some oranges home that you’ve picked yourself!

This place is quite big and gets crowded during Passover but you can still manage to find a good spot to have a picnic with your family, peacefully. It is quite clean even when crowded. The entrance fee is quite high if you pay on site, without previous arrangements, so try to find discounts in advance. Also, it might be advisable to come prepared with a picnic and try to get a place with grass around it. Nevertheless, this is a must-visit place if you are visiting Hadera, Israel.

10. Park Hadera Lake

The place is a pretty and natural location, in the shadows of the Hadera Power Station. The roads leading into it are left over from the British Empire. While they have not been upgraded, they have held up to nature fairly well. The rehabilitation of the area since the development of the power station has been done well and the once polluted stream is now clear. There are big plans afoot to further develop this area along the Mediterranean. Come now!
