Fossil hunting has been a very popular activity in Venice for a long time. Scattered along the shores of Caspersen Beach are thousands of shark teeth, that can be collected and stored as a part of a collection. There are also jewellery shops right outside the beach area that sell shark teeth jewellery that you can wear as a novelty piece. Because Florida was once a part of the ocean, it has a ton of fossils that have washed up on its shores and buried under the sands. Shark teeth are replaced each time they fall out, and most sharks will shed teeth like we do hair! So head down to the beach at low tide, and enjoy this unique activity with your friends.
