Sit in a gravity-fueled cart, where the only control you have is the brake. Challenge your friends or race against the clock, at speeds up to 35 km/h (21.7 mph). The race course is designed with some extremely sharp turns and since there’s no engine in the cart, you can only control your vehicle with the brake.

When the summer heats up the Sun Peaks Valley, some areas, including McGillivray Lake, make a great place for a workout, a bit of exploration and fishing. The road to the lake is almost snowed in, during the winter season, but it is usually accessible and provides breathtaking views. You can easily launch a boat here, camp, start fishing or enjoy a small picnic. The lake is not huge, but it offers scenic views of the forest and water.
Be careful if you are going with children and don’t let them go in the bushes alone. The area is safe, but wildlife spotting is frequent in nearby places.

10. Take a downhill bike tour
Traverse through the forests and alpine meadows on a downhill bike ride tour. The trails in the Bike Park at Sun Peaks are suitable for any style and experience level. Hit Sun Peaks in any season and you’ll find yourself riding on a 2000 foot (609.6 meter) vertical, which extends to around 2500 feet (762 meters).
There are 40 trails for bike riding and if you’re visiting Sun Peaks during the annual competition, you can get yourself registered and race against fellow riders who come to Sun Peaks from different parts of the world. The park remains open every day, until evening and the evening hours are better for budget-friendly rides.
