Located in the southwest of South Africa, Barrydale is a village on the border of the regions Overberg and Klein Karoo. It’s an excellent place to visit if you want to spend time outdoors. There’s plenty of parks and nature centres in the area, including the Boosmansbos Wilderness Area, an excellent spot to go to a hike. And there’s lots to do in town as well: grab a coffee at Route 62 Stop or do some shopping at Hardys Memories of Africa. We’ve created a list of our favourite Airbnb vacation rentals in Barrydale. This bungalow is located right next to the town centre. Stop for some food at Mez Karoo Kitchen. Then, spend the day hiking through Zuurberg Nature Reserve.

The cottage is right next to Diesel and Creme, a famous roadside diner—you must have one of their milkshakes! If an adult beverage is more your style, head to the Dung Beetle, a pub where you can enjoy a beer and watch sports on the tv. With the Langeberg mountain range so close, it’s also an excellent area to watch wildlife. You may catch sight of meerkats or baboons.
