5. Idyllic stay on the banks of the Colorado River (from USD 150)

By the time the 1,450-mile (2,334 kilometers) Colorado River passes by Blythe on its way to the Gulf of California, it had already visited five US states and carved out the mighty Grand Canyon. The flow is calm and the scenery is idyllic, and many build their homes by the riverside to enjoy such rural pleasures. This quaint little house is a great example, located just steps away from the river bank. While the house is small, it is a double loft with three bedrooms upstairs, good for up to five guests on the premises. As it is well away from the city center, it is a great choice for a quiet stay and quality time with your family.
