1. Holly Rock Treehouse in Hico (from USD 283)
Holly Rock Treehouse WalkthroughHere’s a quick walkthrough of our Holly Rock Treehouse. Would you like to stay in it?
Posted by Country Road Cabins on Saturday, July 31, 2021
A 24-foot (7.32-meter) wide treehouse built around a large oak tree, Holly Rock Treehouse is a custom wooden structure that boasts a fancy double French door entry accessed from the hillside by the canopy bridge. It even has a wide indoor window to allow for an impressive bird’s eye view.
Aside from its aesthetically pleasing design, this luxury treehouse in West Virginia has a private hot tub on the 3-foot (0.9-meter) wide canopy-level deck and a private picnic area complete with a picnic table and a gas grill. If you rather cook light, the small kitchen is available inside the cabin.
More information from the host, Heather:
- For food and drinks, head to The Station (312 N Court St, Fayetteville), Kirkwood Winery & Isaiah Morgan Distillery (45 Winery Rd, Summersville), or Pasquale's (224 Harper Park Dr, Beckley).
- If you need recommendations for a sightseeing date, options include Hawk's Nest State Park and Summersvile Lake Retreat and Lighthouse.
- There's no need to bring essential toiletries and lines as the property already provides a full set of these for the use of their visitors.
- Be sure to book adventures such as river rafting in advance. There's a strong chance that slots will be sold out fast, especially in time for the weekend.
- Bring your own car or car rental. The town that houses the property doesn't have a strong public transport network, so frequent bus rides are not guaranteed.

Taking camping to a whole new level
Hotels with in-room hot tub and Airbnb rentals all offer great, comfortable stays. For an accommodation closer to nature, however, treehouses are the best. West Virginia treehouses vary in style and amenities. Regardless of this, however, they are all great accommodations if you wish to enjoy that one-of-a-kind view with stylish, comfy luxury!
