Ponchos are an indispensable part of the Mexican Culture. A lot of the Mexican cartoons or caricature frequently show people from Mexico wearing the special poncho. The Mexican poncho is different from the normal poncho which is normally styled to suit everyday needs. The former is, however, different from its contemporary. A Mexican Poncho is traditionally called Sarape. The poncho is worn as an outer layer of clothing for the winters or during gardening. The Sarape with a cowboy hat is what Mexicans would usually wear when dressing up traditionally. The material in poncho is used to repel water and dust and helps in protecting the inner layer of clothing. Poncho is not only famous in Mexico but all over Central and Southern America. The Mexican Poncho has a slit on both the sides for easy movement of the arms.

Dulce de leche is one of the most delicious desserts one can have when in Tijuana, Mexico. It is made by slowly cooking sweetened milk on heat. The confection is brownish in colour similar to caramelized sugar, but the texture is paste-like. The Dulce de leche can be used to make different types of cakes, pastries and even chocolates. The taste is something which lingers on and the texture is gooey. This mouthwatering dessert can be found in Tijuana always, since the city is famous for its nightclubs and restaurants which serve delicious food and drinks. Dulce de leche can also be made at home with some milk and sugar. The taste is similar to caramelized sugar but the texture is very different. It is also known by the name of Manjar or Manjar Blanco.
