Looking to sample some of Modena’s famous Trattorias? We’ve prepared a list of places to stay in Modena near the best restaurants for you below:

Modena is unofficially the food capital of the world, wouldn’t you agree? Home to the world’s best Italian restaurant Osteria Francescana and a connoisseur of Balsamic Vinegar, every step in Modena resonates to something divine and delectable on your palate. The city houses several architectural wonders that have been marked as heritage sites by the UN, and each destination relates to a food or a snack that is made in this city. If you really want to savor Modena, we have curated a list of places for you to stay minutes away from Modena’s places to dine.

We handpicked these listings carefully, considering (wherever possible) Superhost status, recent guest reviews, location, accommodation type, prices, availability of dates, decor, and amenities. The image galleries get refreshed with the latest updates regularly. They were last updated on April 04, 2024.

Makes for the perfect experience for a garden breakfast! The BnB is located minutes away from the Enzo Ferrari Park, if you’re a car fanatic who loves to relax, this is where you should stay.

3. Hotel Liberta - on the other side of Hosteria Giusti (from USD 144)

The pink walls and cobblestone pavements are sure to impress you at first, but wait till you get in! This is the best of both worlds; modern and well equipped inside but holds true charms of rustic Italian outside. Located between the Palazzo Ducale and the cathedral, all the major destinations in the city are just around the corner. But one place you must absolutely dine at is Hosteria Giusti.

Perhaps the oldest deli in the world, it is said to have been around since 1605. A small cozy place with antique furniture, the deli’s aromas are sure to entice you in every day. Serving up some 17th-century recipes and other local flavors, staying only minutes away might help you grab a seat every day in this four table deli. While you’re here, get a taste of the stuffed pigs’ trotters with lentils and Cotechino Fritto Con Zabaione or crazy pork sausage. Their other specialties include Pappardelle with duck, Capon broth tortellini, Pigeon with balsamic vinegar flavor and Tagliatelle with Bacon and can be your lunch and dinner for the next two days!

Very posh and Italian, the exterior of this hotel will have you excited but you will want to bask in the luxury when you enter in. But, all the historic beauty is sure to drag you back to the street. 8. Cozy studio in the heart of Modena, very close to Mercato Albinelli (from USD 92)

A small and comfortable space, its proximity from the city center is what puts it on the list. The apartment is located close to the Duomo Cathedral on Piazza Grande Square, Ghirlandina Tower and Mercato Albinelli, a fresh food market. The market sells everything from meats and cheeses, to flowers, mushrooms, and fresh fruits. The experience is just overwhelming because you are sure to be perplexed with all the choices available.
