If getting a thrill from a haunted house, running headlong into crashing waves, or grooving along to thumping music under artificial rain sound like your cup of tea, Wonderland Theme Park, Jalandhar, is the place for you. Only 6 kilometres (3.7 miles) away from the main city in Punjab, this theme park is spread over a whopping 11 acres (4.4 hectares) with each area designed for fun and frolic. It’s also a one-stop shop for dining, shopping, dancing, entertainment–the list goes on. Whether it is the land rides you’re after, or a splash in the wave pool you’re keen to experience, there’s plenty to do at this massive theme park. Here’s a guide to Wonderland Theme Park, Jalandhar you can check out.

Things to do / highlights

Ride the waves in the wave pool

The wave pool is by far the theme park’s most popular attraction. The massive pool has clear water punctuated by considerably big waves similar to the seas. While there’s no surfing and wakeboarding to be seen, visitors can have a blast riding the waves with their body or running through them to reach the end. It’s a great place to splash water about with some mates or family.

Dance the day away on the aqua dance floor

Pulsating music, bright lights, and artificially induced rain are all features of the aqua dance floor in the Wonderland Theme Park. Punjabi music is the genre of choice, with thumping beats elevating the mood. A canopy towers over the dance floor, with artificial clouds producing ‘rain’ to drench visitors in quite the movie-like fashion.

Spin around on a rollercoaster

No amusement park is complete without a rollercoaster and Wonderland Theme Park fits the bill. With thrilling twists and turns along the route, the rollercoaster in the theme park is a must-try even if you’re wary of heights. At points, the rollercoaster car completely flips over, leaving visitors suspended upside for down for one hair-raising moment.

Visit the haunted house

Nothing packs a horrific punch quite like a haunted house. If you’ve been missing the thrill of jumpscares, ghosts, and maze-like tunnels, this theme park has you covered. The haunted house is quite popular with the daredevils looking to see if they can conquer their fear. The added benefit of this attraction is that it remains open during summers along with the rest of the dry rides.
