There are plenty of amusement parks in Mumbai to explore and enjoy, but one of the best and lesser-known is Wonders Park. Located in Seawoods, Navi Mumbai, on the outskirts of the city, Wonders Park allows you to travel around the world in a day. That’s because of its most notable feature — the gorgeous miniatures of the “Seven Wonders Of The World”. However, that’s not all! The park is also home to unique and interesting places such as a giant chessboard, a peaceful and serene lake, and even a huge Ferris wheel. So, if you’re looking to have fun with your children for an entire day, then Wonders Park is the place to visit. Here’s our guide to Wonders Park, Mumbai, that will help you plan your visit.

Explore the Seven Wonders of the World

Wonders Park is most notable for its miniature replicas of the “Seven Wonders of the World” - the Taj Mahal, Christ the Redeemer statue, Machu Picchu, the ancient city of Petra, Chichen Itza, the Colosseum, and the Great Wall of China. In fact, this is where the park also gets its name from. Designed to portray the originals in a smaller version, they’re a great place to introduce your kids to the Seven Wonders and get them intrigued.

Go on a joy ride

The second-biggest attraction of this sprawling park is its toy train. The ride spans the length of the entire park and is a great way to enjoy along with your children. What’s more, the park is home to well-manicured gardens, which have playsets for children - think slides, swings, and other kid-friendly rides and activities. So, sit by the side and watch your kids play around as you take the much-needed breather.

Indulge in fitness activities

Interestingly, Wonders Park is the only amusement parks in the city that has cycling, jogging, and walking paths. So, if you’re a fitness enthusiast, then spending a day at this park is a wonderful way to rejuvenate. In fact, many walkers visit the park for this very same reason, especially since it has a small fee. If you don’t own bicycles, then you can even rent them from the park itself.

Enjoy a whole lot of other attractions

As we mentioned before, the park is your oyster - there’s so much to do and explore here that even spending a day here feels less. You can ride the Ferris wheel or set up a picnic by the lake. If you’re a Harry Potter and a chess fan, then head to the massive, life-sized chessboard, which is one-of-its-kind in Mumbai. Did we tell you that the place even has an amphitheater and a lazy river?

Food Mall

The best part about spending a day at Wonders Park is that you don’t have to worry about carrying food - there’s an excellent Food Court right within the park. Whether it’s in-between attractions and rides or satiating your hunger after a thrilling day, the Food Court has a plethora of meals, snacks, and beverages, both Indian and continental. The best part is that the place is immaculate, the food is tasty, and the prices are reasonable.

Stay safe

Since the park is huge, it’s easy for your kids to wander off. Plus, the place is always teeming with people. So, keep an eye on them all the time.

Keep the place clean

Wonders Park is home to not one, but two beautifully maintained artificial lakes. So, don’t litter the place, especially since there are dustbins all over the park.

Parking fees

If you’re coming by your own vehicle, then there’s a parking fee that’s separate from the park’s entry fee.

By car/taxi

Wonders Park lies on Uran Road in Nerul’s Sector 19A, and can easily be reached by a private car, black-and-yellow taxi or an app-based cab. Autos will be relatively expensive, no matter where you come from, so it’s best to avoid them.

By bus

If you’re at Thane station, then get bus 512LTD (limited number of stops) that’ll drop you at Nerul. From Nerul, it’s best that you catch a taxi or an auto (since it’s a short distance) to reach Wonder Park.

By local train

The station nearest to Wonders Park on the Central Line is Kurla Junction, as the Western Railway is nowhere close to it. From Kurla, catch another train to Nerul, and then take a taxi or auto-rickshaw from the station to the park. It’s a bit long, but if you’re coming from far, then it’s the quickest way to get here while avoiding road traffic.
