I love exploration. I was on my first camping trip mere weeks after my birth, and I’ve sought out new experiences ever since. I wrote my first travel narrative at twelve years old, about a family canoe trip that went hilariously wrong when the winds picked up. The natural world, history, spirituality, and global culture all tug at me, and I’m a compulsive chronicler of my experiences. I’ve wrestled an emu – and won, skinny-dipped in a woodland stream, raised orphan opossums, leapt from an airplane, and meditated with the Bionic Woman. For me, the journey is all about connecting with a space or event, keeping a part of it with me always.
