Sometimes, you just want to get away from it all, the city buzz, the people, the congestion and the best thing to do is just take a day and vamoose from the city. Johannesburg can be overbearing sometimes if you are an international visitor or even a local and you might want to get away from it all. The best thing about this is that there are quite a lot you can do outside of Johannesburg in the little towns surrounding the city. From highly relaxing to adrenaline-inducing activities, the following are some of the best day trips from Johannesburg.
Tip from tour guide
Hartbeespoort is a beautiful place with several attractions, and it was my pleasure to host this lovely couple, Mnqobi and Nokuthabo, here. We started the day with a morning hike and then went for a two-hour predator tour at Lion & Safari Park. After that, we went for some adventure horseback riding and quad biking followed by the bush picnic. Later, the couple enjoyed an open-air Swedish massage before calling it a day at their beautiful accommodation. The next day, we visited Little Paris followed by the two-hour boat cruise with lunch to end the day.
