4. Southern Star Brewing Company
Alright, so if it’s just you and the boys, or you and the Mrs., plan to sop up a nice, long meal at Southern Star. Every Friday night, they have a beer release party and live music. The ambiance here is fantastic and their draught selections will make you happier than a kid in a candy shop.
Make sure you ask your friendly bartender about their Taproom Series, a line of limited draught-only beers. Even better, join them for one of their brewery tours. Slide into your cowboy boots and saddle up to that barstool. You’ll be glad you did.

Good thing they have 20 acres (8.1 hectares) of farmland. Standing as the oldest pick-your-own blueberry farm in Texas, they grow them, you pick them.
With free admission and pesticide-free pickings, get ready to warm up that oven and enjoy some of the fluffiest blueberry muffins you’ll ever bake. Just check to make sure the farm’s open before planning your trip - due to seasonal hours.
