“Houston, Tranquility Base here. The Eagle has landed” - these were the first words ever spoken from the Moon’s surface sent to Johnson Space Center, NASA’s space center in Houston, as humanity made its mark in outer space. Houston is the fourth-largest city in the United States and is known for having a big part in energy production, aeronautics, healthcare, and manufacturing. Although Houston indeed is a big part of the scientific community, they are also known for other interesting things like ranches, rodeos, month-long celebrations, and the famous singer, Beyonce. It also features a number of amazing farm-to-table restaurants and sweet shops. If you are visiting Houston and are looking for accommodation, ranches near the Guadalupe River in particular, are some of the best places to stay during your trip. Guests get to learn about animals and agriculture while also enjoying a peaceful and relaxing environment. Check out this article for a list of the top ranches near Houston, Texas, for a more pleasurable trip.

We handpicked these listings carefully, considering (wherever possible) Superhost status, recent guest reviews, location, accommodation type, prices, availability of dates, decor, and amenities. The image galleries get refreshed with the latest updates regularly. They were last updated on August 20, 2024.

Don't go to number 2 listed above. We went for 2 nights last summer. It's as pictured but the host needs improvement. The furniture is dated and even peeling in so places. The kitchen is not adequately stocked with cutting boards and drinking glasses. The host has her kids toys and other personal items stashed in the corners etc which made us feel more like we were staying in a friend's home as opposed to a luxury space we paid a pretty penny for. The hot tub had grass and dirt in it - not like it matter because we couldn't even figure out how to turn it on if we did want to use it. There were no instructions left. The pool needed water added and the water level was noticably low which made me question the cleanliness. There is not adequately seating or shade around the pool area so bring your own if you go. The room nearest the pool with 2 beds had huge windows with no window dressings so the sun beams!! into the room and it gets unpleasantly hot plus there is no privacy for a bed room with 2 huge windows overlooking the pool/most public area of the yard. The air hockey table did not work. The garage was a huge, tasmanian-devil style mess and we called it the "scary room". There was no effort to cover it up and the garage door is made out of glass with no frosting so we got to stare at the mess all weekend. Part of the stove did not work so that made cooking for our family difficult AND THEN the host told air bnb the stove wasn't working because we broke it and she charged us a $350 repair fee. We certainly did not break her stove. Otherwise the property was nice enough and her farm animals are lovely and sweet and gentle with kids.
