4. Sawgrass Nature Centre

The Sawgrass Wildlife Hospital is located in the Sportsplex Park, off Sawgrass Expressway. Sawgrass Nature Centre is a charitable, volunteer-driven NGO, dedicated to helping wild animals. This urban wildlife hospital brings in 700 animals each year. In addition, volunteers devote 8,000 hours of their time to help rescue, cure and nurture the wildlife. Sawgrass Nature Centre also offers wildlife camps in summer. The aim is to educate people about the natural environment and best methods to handle an orphaned animal.

You can visit from Tuesday to Friday between 9am to 5pm, or on the weekend from 10am to 3pm. Enjoy the company of 30 species of animals that live on-site. The entrance fee is 5 USD for adults and 3 USD for children. The centre is also close to Dr. Steven G. Paul Dog Park and Coral Glades High School.
