Initially built in 1709, this Dutch-style house is a world-class attraction in Beacon. This old home is the most former house in Dutchess County and is kept in a good state by the Daughters of the American Revolution. Madam Brett homestead has now been converted into a museum with its entire 17 rooms well-preserved to be displayed to guests on private or group tours. These ancient vaults, once reserved for the elite in the society, have fallen apart spectacularly and visiting them can give you an amazing as well as a haunting experience.
