Even to enter the restaurant is an experience. Diners are transported on Dracula’s ghost train to reach The Theatre of Vampires, where weird waiters and talented performers immerse you in a night of comedy, rock, puppetry and amazing horror special effects. One of the main reasons that visitors flock to Broadbeach is the stunning Gold Coast beaches. The coastline offers gorgeous golden sand, crystal clear water, reliable swells for surfers, and the world famous Australian lifeguards patrolling the top tourist locations. The Gold Coast lifeguards really deserve their fantastic reputation, as they play a vital role in making Gold Coast such an ideal and safe family holiday destination. Kurrawa Beach is known as one of the safest beaches on the Gold Coast and even host some of Australia’s major surf lifesaving competitions. There is also a wide pedestrian area with numerous shops and cafes and a children’s playground, which is open all year round. Apart from that, there is plenty of room on the spacious beach to soak up the sun and relax. However, if you want to be a bit more active, there is also kite surfing, sand sculpting and volleyball, and of course the most popular activity, surfing.

Within the heart of Broadbeach Mall is the iconic Rotary Carousel. This gorgeous ride is over 120 years old and is operated by volunteers of the Southport Rotary. It is a remembrance of days gone by, to be thoroughly enjoyed by all age groups and especially ideal for the young and the young at heart. As the carousel is run by volunteers, hours may vary during the school holidays and public holidays. The carousel is situated in the middle of Broadbeach Mall and you can easily get there by various means of transport. Moreover, it provides an unusual and attractive feature for Broadbeach. The Rotary Club are to be commended for giving their time to ensure that the carousel is still operating.
