Posted by Outdoor Interlaken on Friday, 19 June 2015

Monster Scooters are different from regular scooters, as they are powered. Some biking experience is required, as you need to balance on just 2 big wheels. Monster Scooter tours are a fantastic way to see the Swiss Mountain view with your loved ones and friends. With wide tires and handlebar brakes, these scooters are very stable and user-friendly. This guided evening tour begins in the small mountain village, where you take a mountain cable car high into the alpine meadows, before descending through the forest on the approximately 40-minute scooter ride. This is an experience for the outward bound. Most scooters allow the rider to sit, but this one is special - you need to stand to get a better view of the scenery in front of you. Scootering saves energy for the lazy ones, who love to see the forests and country without sweating it out. Hence, you know you’ll be in for a relaxing, fun and enjoyable experience.

Rafting is a fun sport at River Lütschine. You will get a briefing before the trip down the river so that you are safe while having a great time. Always wear your safety vests and be prepared to get wet. It would be ideal that you know how to swim prior, but the safety vests should do just as well. Be prepared for bumps here and there, as you descend swiftly down the rushing river. This promises to be an adrenaline rushing activity that you won’t forget.

Renowned Indian film-making supremo, late Yash Chopra, had a true fondness for Switzerland’s breathtaking landscape and managed to capture it very well as a backdrop in the various films he directed during his lifetime. As a way to celebrate Chopra’s contribution to increasing the country’s popularity among the Indian diaspora, he has been honoured with a 350 kg (770 lb) bronze statue that stands in Interlaken’s Kursaal Garden (right next to Höhematte Park). The statue was erected on the director’s 85th birth anniversary in May 2016 and attracts movie buffs, including prominent movie stars, by the hordes for pictures and selfies. You too can head there and check out the beautiful statue wherein the director can be seen standing against a camera, a pose he is popularly associated with.
