Malay, which is officially referred to as the Municipality of Malay, is located in the province of Aklan. It was founded/started to become civilized on June 15th, 1949. Its total area is 66 kilometers (41 miles) and it has a population of a little over fifty-thousand inhabitants. Every year, it receives a lot of tourists and visitors because of its white sandy beaches and the beautiful islands that surround it. The climate in this place is pretty good in that it only has rainy seasons and the sunny seasons. On average, the highest temperature would range between 9 degrees Celsius (48°F) on the rainy days, and the highest can go to 32 degrees Celsius (90°F). The general recommendation would be for you to visit between the months of May and October, since these are the times when the weather is best. Below I have listed down for you, the five best things that you can do in Malay (obviously amongst many).

1. Experience the Boracay Suncruiser

Take your revel to the next level and cruise in style aboard the Boracay SunCruiser - Boracay's ultimate pleasure boat!...

The Boracay Suncruiser is one experience that will blow your mind away. On this beautiful yacht is where you can spend a whole day at and still not get enough. On the yacht, you can hold parties, ceremonies or just go to hang out. On it is a massive water slide, great music, great people, nice drinks and just generally a good time. You can request for the DJ to play you any song and just get lost in the music. Apart from all this, you can also choose to go on the sunset cruise, which starts at 2 pm and ends at 8 pm. Here you will witness the sun going down and take a great picture while onboard. The reviews for this place have been through the roof, and I would also strongly recommend you to get on board with me on the Boracay Suncruiser.

2. Visit Punta Bunga Beach

Bunga Beach, also known as Punta Bunga Beach, is a nice quiet little beach with blue waters and white sands. It is the perfect getaway for nearly anyone. Bunga Beach has some of the most spectacular views and is just generally a soothing place to be at. It is so private and has very few people on it at a time, meaning you get to enjoy yourself peacefully. Now after relaxing at the beach, you can go for a nice swim, go diving or snorkeling. The choice is up to you. Bunga Beach will have you feeling you are in some sort of paradise. This is a place that I would suggest you visit as often as possible.

3. Explore the Basang Cave

Posted by Basang Cave and Cold Spring Resort on Monday, 29 February 2016

Visiting a cave surely sounds like one for the books. The Basang Cave is no ordinary cave because it also has natural pools inside, you just have to go and find them. It has great rock formations and is supposedly one of the longest caves in the Philippines, so you’re definitely up for something exciting. Many tourists visit the Basang Caves annually, and most of them have nothing but positive things to say. Tours are there for you, and at some point, you would require a flashlight to get deeper into the caves. So, either you carry your flashlight, or you will be given one by your guides (I strongly recommend that you carry your own). This one is for all the brave ones. If you like a thrill, you should visit these caves because it would be nothing but a good time. The caves can get dark, and with all the bats around, you will need to be fearless to face them. Believe me, after you finish, you will list it down as one of the best things you’ve done.

4. Go to the Artkipelago

Posted by Artkipelago on Monday, 27 January 2014

This is a caricature where you can go to get funny pictures of you drawn. This sounds like great fun for children. All you need to do is be present for someone to draw and deliver a caricature of you. The results will have you smiling for ages. It would make a nice souvenir to go back home with, because you can put it in a photo album to store the great memories, or just imagine sending someone a caricature of themselves! What a fun birthday present. The Artkipelago is located in D-Mal in Malay, so you can grab a quick bite before or after you get your caricatures done. Go on and do something goofy!

5. Happy Dreamland Theme Park

Posted by Lucas Chong on Monday, 3 April 2017

Now just as the name suggests, this is a place where you can go to have exhilarating fun with the whole group. I mean who does not like theme parks? You are free to go go-karting for example if you are afraid of the more ‘scary’ things to do. You can also go on the ATV rides. There are also rides suitable for the kids, so you do not have to worry about them going on dangerous rides. The kids can have fun where they rightfully should be and for the rest of the gang, they can go and enjoy the rest of the theme park. Malay is seriously filled with fun things for you to embark on. When you see an opportunity, seize it.

Malay is a fantastic place for you to go and visit. In my opinion, the Philippines has so much to offer, it just needs you to be up for the challenge. Right from the theme parks, to the caves, to the cruisers, it all sounds like something you would want to take part in. The destinations mentioned above are just a few amongst many others that you can explore. I just decided to pick out the ones I think are the best and ones that you should definitely begin with. Malay is a great place full of culture and history, so you should make a great effort to ensure you visit every single one of these places.
